I've been working in the arts in one form or another all my adult life. I got quite bored about 6 years ago with my commercial sculpture line and without hesitation stopped making art. At that time I had the opportunity to create short documentary videos and to write articles on all kinds of subjects for my new job as coordinator of the Conservation Almanac, here on Martha's Vineyard. Those two outlets seemed to satisfy the muse because I didn't have any need to do anything more for a long time.. It wasn't until last Spring that I started to get a hankering to make art again. Just a little itch going on inside. At that time I had a visit from my fellow artist and friend Sandie and she mentioned her idea about this Time Project. It wasn't long before I was hooked on the idea and wanted to be part of the group of 13 other artists. I am now back making art and can happily say I am doing it for the best of all reasons, joy, curiosity, and the love of process, without any other objectives. It is pure and passionate. I feel blessed and privledged for this unique opportunity to create and share with such a group of gifted souls.
